Maria Pavlou is an Animation Producer and IP creator. She is the founder of Pixel giants, an animation studio based in Cyprus. A graduate of Ringling College of Art and Design, Maria has years of experience in the field of 3D animation, storytelling and advertising. During her studies in the US, Maria was trained at the Walt Disney Animation Boot Camp on animation principles and techniques. She is the Creator/Producer of “Magic Molly”, a preschool 3D animated TV series supported by Creative Europe/MEDIA and the Co-creator/Producer of the 2D animated TV series “The Olive Bunch”, developed with a Kickstarter campaign. Both these shows were presented at various European pitching forums, including Cartoon Forum, MIFA, CEE and Kids Kino. Maria has also written, directed and produced numerous shorts for kids, screened at various international film festivals like Montreal International Animation Film Festival, Palm Springs International Film Festival, Siggraph and the Academy Award ® qualifying festivals Chicago International Children’s Film Festival, RiverRun International Film Festival and Encounters Film Festival among others. She also teaches 3D animation and figure drawing classes at a university level.
